Hunter Schafer Just Revived Peplum Tops and Capri Shorts

Hunter Schafer just made peplum tops and capri shorts look so elevated with her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Friday night.

The actor sat down with the talk show host to discuss her role as Tigris Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which premiered in theaters the same day. For the occasion, she wore a pink, yellow, green, and blue floral printed ensemble by Balmain that featured a halterneck, structured cups, a structured peplum, and matching capri shorts. She paired the look with baby pink stilettos and accessorized with dainty pink jewel earrings. The Euphoria famed star styled her hair in a ‘50s-esque ‘do—her gold locks fell in soft curls parted to the side and tucked behind one ear. She rounded off the look keeping her makeup soft with a tinted red lip.

On the show, Schafer shared that she has been a fan of the Hunger Games since she was a child. “For Halloween, I was obsessed with how the Capital people were in costumes, and I made my own costume once,” she said while Fallon showed a photo of the young star, who wore a grand orange and blue getup, complete with dramatic shoulder pads and tulle sleeve details.

Schafer has been channeling her “Capital” energy in many glamorous red-carpet looks for the movie’s press tour, frequently giving subtle nods to motifs from the franchise. On Wednesday, she went full Effie Trinket-core for the New York screening of the film, looking like art in a sculptural Marni minidress with bright pink and crimson 3-D flowers protruding out from long thin wires, paired with white Manolo Blahnik pumps.
